Since work began at the development, David Wilson Homes has supported a range of community initiatives. This includes a sponsorship of the hospital room at the Much Wenlock-based Cuan Wildlife Rescue, which is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and birds.
A donation was also made to the Ironbridge Coracle Trust, which keeps the 350-year-old tradition of Coracle making and rowing alive in the local area. The housebuilder has also sponsored Shropshire’s Best Kept Village and Community Award, as well as Home-Start Telford and Wrekin’s Christmas appeal.
A gift of 100 reflective bag tags was also given to Thomas Telford Primary School during Road Safety Week in November to help its pupils stay safe and seen on the road during darker nights and mornings.
